Denim Diary #2

Let the denim obsession continue. This time I wanna talk about my love for light wash denim. As we all already know, New York is a city that loves dark clothing. The longer you live here the darker your wardrobe can get and the next thing you know your only wearing black, blue and grey. And I can't lie I have found that New York has taken it's control on my wardrobe. So this Summer, I made a vow to bring light colors back into my wardrobe (though I never gave up on my love affair with white jeans).

So cue light wash denim! I love how light denim has finally made its comeback since blowing up in the 80's. While its more causal then typical denim or black, it still looks just as great. And with the warm weather now, it keeps you nice and cool and I really love that it still looks great oversized.

For my outfit, I decided to go in the more casual way. I paired my light wash Anthropologie denim shirt with my go to white jeans, new Steve Madden crystal studded sandals ( I realized I have almost no pairs of slip on sandals, so thank god these are some!) and then added in an amazing Topshop leather jacket to give my outfit a bit of a edge. Finally, my go to tan clutch, which sadly is old but you can find similar here
